The E-Sésame project was created because of the need and desire to share a room's key that allows multiple users.
Many solutions were considered but some were too expensive because of a lock replacement. That's why we had the idea of a box fixed next to the door, that contains the key. The box would be openable thanks to a Smartphone application that allows a better control of each user than a digicode would. The box has a built-in memory that can contains a small amount of users and also the last user that opened the box and got the key. Another way of using this box is to link it with a database to have an online authentification and an illimited possible number of users. The communication between the box and the Smartphone is a Bluetooth communication that provides better autonomy.
Concerning the box and the Smartphone communication, the project is functionnal. The authentification works, listing, adding, deleting, too and the box can be opened. However a security problem persists as Bluetooth data could be intercepted. An encryption or privacy mecanism should be implemented. Concerning the database, it could be refined in a more ergonomic way with also all all functionnalities working.
The project is functionnal but not optimized, it can be improved.
